Taliban members have felicitated the first anniversary of their empowerment in front of the US embassy in the capital Kabul. The ceremony has been held as the country is struggling with poverty, political isolation and violation of women’s rights.
Taliban authorities have publicly announced they will permit girls to return to schools though launching single-sex schools needs much time and scheduling. It is one year since the last time adolescent Afghan girls have attended classes and there are no signs that Taliban permits return of girls to schools.
