Unified Islamic ummah, common objective in Muslim world
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought rejected any effort for Iranization or forced conversion to Shia.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, senior Iranian cleric in an interview with Hawza News related on the capacities and activities of the major Islamic unity center, World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, his proposal for establishment of a union of Islamic countries and the annual Islamic Unity Conference, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He rejected any effort for Iranization or forced expansion of Shia and said," Basically the mission of Islamic Republic system in the international arena is not conversion of Sunnis to Shia but we stress some Islamic values one of them is to revive the unified Islamic ummah as founded by Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)."
The cleric stressed necessity of seminaries to expand the Islamic unity thoughts, coexistence thoughts, cooperation and Islamic fraternity.
He said," We need seminaries and Shia and Sunni elites both in Iran and in other countries to explain and promote Islamic values across the globe."
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari noted that religious debates which focus on differences will distance the Islamic nation from its high objectives; therefore, the focus should be on the common ideas and shared lifestyles.
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought also related on his proposal for establishment of a Union of Islamic Countries and said," Every country should keep its identity in a union of Islamic countries though they should form a union and reach a level of proximity because basically it means getting closer to each other."
According to the senior cleric Muslims should stand hopeful on the future of the world of Islam as outstanding people are appearing from different parts of the Muslim world to lead the Muslims in confrontation with the arrogant powers.
